Lou Gehrig's 1928 Watch. Early Christmas Present, please??

This absolutely spectacular piece of Yankees and Hamilton history is currently at $26,290 including the buyer’s premium and will be ending on Thursday. Maybe Charlie Sheen will bid so he can rock this Lou Gehrig watch while wearing Babe Ruth’s 1927 World Series championship ring?
The New York Times published an article profiling the interesting familial background on these Gehrig items. Gehrig was one of the greatest to ever play the game and his record of playing 2,130 games in a row lasted until Cal Ripken, Jr. surpassed it. Gehrig still holds the record for most career grand slams (23) and he was a Triple Crown winner in 1934.
