Pearl Harbor Day - 70 Years Later

Seventy years after a "date which will live in infamy". Dec. 7, 1941, when Japanese airplanes bombed the harbor and drew the United States into the war.

The pristine, white USS Arizona Memorial makes it hard for me to get a sense of the horror that day held for so many.

2,390 Americans killed, 1,178 wounded.

The original ship, sunken under the memorial

We honor you

We salute you

Pearl Harbor Day, today.

It would be amazing to visit. I'm sure I'd get all emotional.
